Polly & Vivek

When Polly initially got in touch with us to ask for help styling her July wedding, it was a chilly, rainy March day. The couple wanted their wedding day to be colourful, carefree, and to celebrate the fusion of two cultures with a bright, bold English/Indian theme. The ceremony and reception were set to take place in Keythrope Manor's large marquee.

There would be more than 350 guests, and there would be only an hour and a half between the ceremony and the reception. It was necessary to carefully plan the styling because there were 36 tables to style and 350 chairs to move.

The vibrant, carefree summer wedding theme chosen by Polly and Vivek’s perfectly reflected the couple's personalities.

We exchanged hundreds of emails and WhatsApp messages over the course of three months to make sure the styling was precisely what the couple wanted.

Hayley allowed the wide colour palette of summer florals to inspire her as she came up with the theme of bright coloured ribbons.

The ribbons were a great decision because they brilliantly displayed a vibrant summer colour scheme. The ribbons amply showcased a fun summer colour palette and dozens of brightly coloured ribbons measuring hundreds of metres were used to handcraft unique backdrops and chair backs.

The high white walls and ceiling of the marquee was the perfect backdrop for a visually stunning fusion wedding.

Hayley meticulously planned the ceremony decor so that it could be incorporated into the reception decor to ensure the tight turn around would go perfectly.

The ceremony area had a gorgeous backdrop of coloured ribbon, the aisle chairs had matching ribbon chair backs, and seasonal flowers in a rainbow of colours were arranged in jars down the incredibly long aisle. The ceiling was covered in colourful paper lanterns and each guest was provided an order of the day and dried petal confetti packets, all made by us.

All hands were on deck to turn the room around following the ceremony. Our ten-person team and the venue's event team collaborated closely.

Our crew put in a lot of effort despite the intense July heat to make the makeover appear flawless. They even took up vacuuming the large marquee floor to make sure the space was immaculate and perfectly styled ready for the big reveal.

The couple's handmade seed favours, vibrant seasonal florals, and a thoughtfully arranged ribbon runner adorned the top table, complimented by the ceremony backdrop behind the top table.

Five different designs were used to adorn the guest tables. These included jars filled with vibrant flowers, candles floating in trio vases filled with coloured water, coloured candle centre pieces, and the couple's custom table numbers, which were painstakingly crafted by the bride and her hens while sipping Prosecco in the couple's garden.

There was a true party atmosphere because of the lovely sunny day and the décor, which reflected this couple's personalities.

Our fresh floral arrangements and styling were adored by the couple, who expressed gratitude to us for perfectly executing Polly's "colour explosion" brief.
